MINCH gained the derby day spoils.

A fine curling effort from Toby Gardiner gave Minchinhampton a first-half lead and this was doubled mid-way through the second period when Jack Hornsby wriggled free and emphatically blasted his shot home.

The lively Liam Phipps fired home for Eastcombe with ten minutes remaining to set up a nervous end to the match, but the home side held firm to take the three points.

MINCH gained an emphatic victory over rivals Eastcombe.

Ed Gosling headed home early on and Mike Scott made it two. Scott then slammed home another before his strike partner Gosling bagged his second and Minchinhampton’s fourth. The second period saw Eastcombe hit back with a fine Dave Wood curling finish before Rob McSweeney saw his penalty saved by Ash Hallett in the Minchinhampton goal.
