County League
Stonehouse Town 1
Henbury 1
Stonehouse shared the spoils with Henbury.
The Bristol side nosed ahead on 13 minutes. Ben Carmen’s poor back pass was picked up by Harvey Moran who saw his first shot parried by keeper Will Pedrick, but he fizzed in the rebound.
Trailing 1-0 at the break, the home side started well in the second half and Dan Martin had his effort saved.
Stonehouse levelled the score on 51 minutes. Alex Kibble lifted the ball over the Henbury defence for Dan Martin to run clear and lob the ball over the advancing keeper.
Pedrick then brought off a fantastic save to deny Henbury taking the lead from a Nathan Hewitt shot and Tom Palmer scrambled the ball away from a corner.
With just five minutes left on the watch, Chris Earle sent the ball through to Luke Soule, but unfortunately, he failed to control the ball and the chance was gone.
Stonehouse travel to Ruardean on Saturday.
