Dursley Running Club were heavily represented at a number of events across Gloucestershire and beyond at the weekend.

On Saturday, November 10th James Everett and Francois Low attended the Endurance Life Gower Event, with the former competing in the marathon and Low the 35-mile ultra.

They raced in terrible rainy conditions, with Low commenting: "A welcome warmth indicated how cold I actually was and so my raincoat stayed on for most of the rest of the race."

He crossed the line at the event in six hours and six minutes in 36th position out of 120.

Everett ran an 8th place finish in 4:24:00.

In one of the top events of the year, Caroline Jones (224th), Lise Hindshaw and Louise Biddel all competed in the Sodbury Slog on Sunday, November 11th.

All racers took part in a period of silence before the race started.

Kris Rymer, Julie Gowing, Garry Strickland and Steve Rugman all performed well. Whilst Steve Barnes and Eileen Heiron also achieved top grades in their age categories.

Tracey Stickland, Judith Rugman, Julie Froggatt and Claire Searle all performed as well.
