Mark Cooper is hoping he'll have both Joseph Mills and Isaac Pearce available for Saturday's match at home to Morecambe.

Mills missed Saturday's FA Cup tie at Oxford after injuring his back picking up his baby while Pearce picked up a knock during the Checkatrade Trophy game against Arsenal.

Cooper is expecting the pair to be available while also hoping for a full quota of substitute.

"Millsy's OK," said Cooper. "He's had stick from the boys, he must have a really big baby but he's OK.

"Pearce trained as well so he'll hopefully be available provided he has no reaction so hopefully we'll have seven subs on the bench."

The Rovers boss also confirmed Liam Shephard and Lee Collins remain on the sidelines.

Injuries to Mills and Shephard have presented opportunities for more players to get minutes and the Rovers boss emphasised the importance of players grasping their chance.

"It always throws up opportunities," Cooper commented. "Archibald was at left-back, Winchester at right-back.

"It gave Tav Campbell the chance to play so it always throws opportunities and it shows you've got to be ready."

The Rovers boss is looking forward to getting back into league action when Morecambe arrive at the New Lawn and he's been impressed with what he's seen of the opposition.

"We've seen them on our software so we've watched their last three or four games and we're really impressed with them and not quite got the results they've deserved but they play some really good football. Jim Bentley puts out teams that are easy on the eye and try and play and they're doing that this season.

"It's the most important game as it's the next one so it's one we want to win."

Cooper is hoping for a good atmosphere at the New Lawn but has admitted attendances and noise could be better.

"I think the atmosphere hasn't been great at the home games, at times it is down to us to get people on the edge of their seat but we need to get more people through the gate. Those that are here need to get behind the team as much as possible if we're to be successful."
