JACK HORNSBY bagged four as Minchinhampton hit Trident for six.
An early fortuitous goal from the backside of Tom Beard from a Josh Button corner gave Minchinhampton the lead and Hornsby added another to give a two-goal half-time lead.
The second period saw Hornsby rediscover his mojo and add a further three goals to take his personal haul to four goals with assists from Toby Gardiner and Riki Noble.
Player-manager Nathan Buckland also got in on the act adding a fine curled effort soon after coming off the bench. A couple of disallowed goals and well saved late penalty from Ollie Portlock denied the home side an even more emphatic victory.
A good team performance will everyone playing their part with a four goal haul for Jack Hornsby earning him the man of the match.

A SLOW start saw Minchinhampton Reserves go two goals down against a youthful Abbeymead side.
Ed Gosling reduced the deficit just before half-time firing home a Philip Ellis cross from close range.
The second period saw a rejuvenated Minchinhampton side return to the field and Ben Price drew parity with a delicious curled effort into the top corner of the goal.
Spurred on by this Minchinhampton pushed on for a winner and this came late on when Ed Gosling was unceremoniously felled in the box and penalty was awarded and Nick Matthews showed a cool head to slot home the kick and in the process snatch all three points.
