SHORTWOOD boss Jason Scrivens was forced to rue a plethora of missed chances as his side were beaten at Cadbury Heath.
The Nailsworth side were undone by Sam Bailey's 22nd minute goal.
Earlier, Shortwood included Forest Green Academy duo Taylor Marsh and Rendijs Kalnins, signed on work experience. The Meadowbank outfit were without striker Levi Matthews who was on county duty and the suspended Jamie Walker.
Scrivens bemoaned: "It was a game we should of won, with a least 80% possession and chances missed again."
Shortwood remain rooted to the bottom of the Toolstation Western Premier League, but with two recent draws, Scrivens remains upbeat for the second-half of the season.
"We have new strengths now and much bigger beliefs," added Scrivens. "I personally believe along with Joey (Joey Tustain) we can go on now and start picking up wins as the positives outweigh the negatives."
