Mark Cooper was pleased to see Christian Doidge score his first goals since the collapse of his move to Bolton Wanderers.
The striker scored twice in the first half before Reece Brown netted five minutes after half time to seel it for Forest Green.
Cooper admitted his team were fortunate to get a free-kick in the lead up to the second goal but also felt the free-kick Brown scored should have been a penalty.
