AFTER winning silver at the British Judo U21s Championship in December, Stroud's Dan Fox,19, has continued to hold his form into 2019. Competing at the Scottish International Open, Dan won all his fights in the junior under 21 category by the maximum score of ippon.
Dan also entered the senior category and after two good wins narrowly lost out in the semi-final before coming back in the repacharge to win third place bronze. Dan has now been given the chance to travel with the junior GB squad and compete in Denmark albeit on a self-funded basis. At just 14 years of age, fellow Stroud Judo Club member Helena Fuller-Harvey, also competing at Scotland came away with a well deserved third place bronze in the under 18 cadet category.
