FOREST Green Rovers boss Mark Cooper provided an update on James Montgomery and Dayle Grubb ahead of the visit of Notts County.
Grubb has been out for four weeks while Montgomery was forced off against Mansfield Town last week with a nasty facial injury.
The Rovers boss says the pair aren't quite ready to play but revealed Montgomery has trained.
“He’s done a bit of training but it’ll be a couple of weeks until he’s ready to put his gloves back on," said Cooper.
“He’s now ugly, as the boys say.
"It wasn’t a nice challenge and it’s going to take some recovering but he’s fine and superficial so it’s about getting his confidence back and getting him back out there."
When asked about when Grubb will be returning, Cooper replied: "Next week."
The Rovers boss also spoke about the challenge of a re-energised Notts County who strengthened in January and also spoke about Shawn McCoulsky's performance.
