FOREST Green will be aiming to end a run of successive defeats when they take on struggling Yeovil Town on Saturday.

The results against Notts County and Swindon Town have left Forest Green hanging on to the play-offs by a thread.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of a crucial game at the New Lawn.

Opponent: Yeovil Town

Venue: The New Lawn

Time: 3pm

TEAM NEWS

Dayle Grubb is back in training but Saturday may come too soon for the winger.

As for Yeovil, defender Craig Alcock is available after serving a one match ban.

Gary Warren missed Tuesday's 4-1 defeat to Paul Scholes' Oldham Athletic with a hamstring injury.

Former Forest Green loanee Matt Worthington is likely to face his former club.

OPPOSITION

Yeovil are in rotten form and are just two points clear of the bottom two.

Darren Way's side started the season well. They picked up 14 points from their first seven games, a run which saw a 6-0 triumph away at Newport County but they have only taken 16 points in the 25 games since.

What won't make good reading for Rovers is the Glovers are better away from home. They've won five league games on the road compared to just two at Huish Park.

In January, Yeovil lost Jordan Green who was sold to Barnsley while Olufela Olomola returned to parent club Scunthorpe.

FORM GUIDE

Rovers have gone three games without a victory and have won just two of their last seven games.

It looked like Forest Green had turned the corner at home but with one win in their last four at the New Lawn, they seem to be struggling again.

As for Yeovil, they've lost five on the spin and have won just two of their last 17.

And what a day it was. After a pretty drab first half, Yeovil took the lead through Rhys Browne (yes, the other one) before Paul Digby was sent off for Rovers with 14 minutes to go.

Mark Cooper's side manage to pull off a dramatic late comeback though. Reuben Reid equalised in the 92nd minute before George Williams scored his first league goal for the club to win it in the 94th minute.

SNJ VERDICT

This is a vital game for Rovers. It's only the second time their promotion credentials have been questioned after defeat to bottom club Notts County and their heaviest defeat of the season at Swindon.

Having said that, the fact their heaviest defeat is a 2-0 defeat and their longest losing run of the season is two games does say a lot.

Eighth place Exeter are level on points and have a game in hand over Forest Green so it's crucial they get back to winning ways quick. This league is so tight that you simply can't afford to go on a winless run. One result can make such a big difference to a teams league position.

The New Lawn pitch is a concern and Cooper admitted before the Swindon game that Rovers may need to change the way they play because of it and it could suit Yeovil more.

The Glovers have a better away record and have had some impressive results on the road - A 1-0 win at Mansfield Town and a 6-0 triumph at Newport.

Matt Worthington will also return to the New Lawn and he may want to prove a point after struggling to nail down a starting role during his spell at the New Lawn.

An early goal would really do the trick in this one. It would settle Forest Green and will release any anxiety around the New Lawn that would grow the longer Rovers go without scoring.

PREDICTION

Forest Green 1-0 Yeovil
