HIS older team-mates will be enjoying a few celebratory beers tonight, but 16-year-old teenage Shortwood striker Levi Matthews will have to be content with kebab and chips
Jason Scrivens' side finally registered their first league win of the season at the 29th attempt with a shock win at high-flying Westbury United.
Mathews scored the only goal of the game on 65 minutes and Wood held on and took home three points.
Shortwood have improved significantly in recent weeks and did beat Tytherington 7-1 in a friendly this week.
Westbury were second in the Toolstation Western League before kick-off.
Wood remain bottom with six points, nine behind 19th place Hengrove United.
