DAN Fox marked his first GB judo international event by bagging bronze at the Matsumae Cup in Denmark.
Earlier, at the two-day event, the 19-year-old Stroud judo prospect took part in the senior under 90 kilo category, where he won three out of five bouts by the maximum score - earning seventh-place.
On day two, now competing in the under 21category, the Stroud teenager won five bouts - all by the maximum ippon score.After loosing to a very strong Swedish player in the fourth round, he sparkled in the repechage and following a very exciting contest, he again threw his opponent for ippon, winning a third place bronze. Stroud coach, Richard Neale complimented Dan on two great results at his first international event.
