MINCHINHAMPTON U14s travelled to Bristol on a sunny spring morning for their first ten-a-side tournament and their first taste of artificial turf in the Nandos Cup.
In the opening game, Minch raced to an early lead eventually beating Southmead nine tries to two.
Next up were Devon side Topsham, who proved stiffer opposition, but Minchinhampton came out narrow 4-3 winners.
Chew Valley were the next opponents and whilst they were unable to score they were able to restrict Minch to only three tries.
Bristol Old Boys were up next and again Hampton made the opening score. They slowly built a lead before OBs rallied, but again Minch came out the victors with a 7-4 score.
The final match was against a familiar foe in Clifton. A tense match saw Minchinhampton win by four tries to a cheeky two, capping a fine day of five victories, 100 minutes of rugby and 27 tries.
