Three points, a clean sheet and a play-off place within our grasp.

Victory should have put the prophets of doom firmly in their place.

So many things went right at Port Vale on Saturday with team and management all deserving praise.

Vale were first contained, then coshed. Today any game of football is a fourteen player affair in which substitutes play an important part. This was the case on Saturday when Williams and Mondal brought pace and vigour to the Rovers team.

This could have been a case of what we have we hold, but no! Manager Mark wanted three points and went for broke. Well done to all for responding. I have yet to mention one word –quality. That is exactly what Reece Brown brings to the party and that is exactly what he did, his two goals winning the game. Some are speculating about his future. Not me! Not now!! Instead let us rejoice he is with us now and playing so well.

Plenty of noise from the kick-off please on Saturday, we all have to be on top form.

A personal word about Trevor Horsley. A friend of mine was diagnosed with that dreadful disease. Trevor spoke some wise and wonderful words to her They were with her throughout her successful battle and are with her now. Thanks Trev.
