Forest Green Academy scholar Dan Jones has capped off a fine season after being called up to Wales’ Under 19 training camp.

Having previously been included in the Welsh Under 17 squad for the Telki cup, Jones has enjoyed a good end to the season, lifting the Merit League Two title with our Under 18s and representing the club in the Central League.

The training camp in South Wales started today, with Jones teaming up with players who represent clubs in the Premier League as well as across the EFL.

Rovers Academy manager Scott Bartlett said: "This is a good opportunity for Dan and it’s no surprise.

“Paul Bodin has been to our recent games and will have been impressed by his form and contribution at the end of the season.

“To represent Wales at Under 19 level is an achievement and I am sure he will be better for the experience."
