FORMER Forest Green striker James Norwood is set to sign a three-year contract with Ipswich Town.
The 28-year-old is currently on an end-of-season trip to Magaluf with his Tranmere team-mates following last Saturday's League Two play-off final victory over Newport County.
Norwood smashed 92 goals in 189 games since moving to Tranmere from Forest Green in 2015, including 32 last season.
He spent much of his time at Forest Green under David Hockaday and Ady Pennock playing wide on the left but still managed to score 49 goals in his four seasons at the New Lawn.
He will join Paul Lambert's Tractor Boys on a free transfer.
