A girl has been chosen to represent England after she qualified for the biggest horse show of the year.
Emily Irvine, aged nine, held off strong competition to qualify for the Horse of the Year show after winning her qualifier earlier this month.
On the back of her performance, she has been chosen by British showjumping to represent England.
Emily, a Sherston Primary School pupil from Malmesbury, jumped three rounds on her pony Bunbury Conquest, to beat the best ponies and riders in the country, all trying to qualify for the prestigious show that is held at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham from Wednesday, October 2 to Sunday, October 6.
She is trained by Nick Price, showjumper and friend.
The event in October will showcase national and international showjumping classes, host the finals for the Pony Club Mounted Games Prince Philip Cup, and see the best of British show horses come forward for the finale to the showing season.
