FOREST GREEN are set to sign former Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Adam Smith, the SNJ understands.
Smith,26, is a free agent following the expiration of his contract at Bristol Rovers this summer.
Standing a commanding 6ft,5in, Smith started his career at Middlesbrough before joining Leicester City.
Forest Green boss Mark Cooper is in the market for a keeper after Lewis Ward returned to parent club Reading and subsequently moved to Exeter City last week.
Rovers currently have James Montgomery and youngster Lewis Thomas on their books alongside academy keeper Declan Lehmann.
