FOREST GREEN are tracking Leeds United defender Liam Kitching, according to website Football Insider.
Forest Green Rovers' director of football Richard Hughes is understood to be in advanced talks with Leeds for the 19-year-old after being impressed by his performances on loan at National League side Harrogate Town over the last 18 months.
The defender, who can play at centre-back or left-back, made 34 appearances for Harrogate last season and is contracted at Elland Road until the summer of 2021.
Forest Green boast a number of connections with the Yorkshire side. Boss Mark Cooper is a Leeds fan and his father Terry, a former England left-back, played for the Elland Road outfit under Don Revie in the 1970s.
And Jordan Stevens joined Leeds from Forest Green in January 2018.
