NEW Stonehouse Town boss Phil Orsborn insists his side are well equipped for their first foray into the Hellenic League after securing the services of Southern League attacker Marley Thomas.

The former Evesham United, Slimbridge abnd Shortwood man is joining on dual registration forms from Cinderford Town.

The Magpies have already signed former Southern League defender Ryan Thwaite and retained the services of Liam Gale and captain Alex Kibble.

"We have secured a number of higher league players who are signing on dual registration so further ensuring quality throughout the club," said Orsborn.

"All players will sign on for the first team and seconds so we make sure both sides can compete in new standards for both teams. I am confident we will equip ourselves and I'm looking forward to the challenge.

"I've been really pleased with the commitment and drive during pre-season and that has resulted in retaining last year's squad and adding to that more quality so ensuring strength-in-depth."

Stonehouse travel to Viney on Saturday and welcome Longwell Green on Tuesday, 7pm.
