Stroud Angling Club held their first junior coaching session at Stoutshill Lake.
The warm and sunny morning was perfect and more than 20 children took part catching a fish - from small stockie Mirror Carp through to Common Carp between 2lbs to 6lbs.
With several children coming from Sheepscombe School, the turnout also included pupils from Wycliffe College and from Farringdon.
The Angling Club coaching days are run coach Nigel Phillips with bait supplied by Lobby's Tackle in Stonehouse. The club is keen to get as many children into the sport as possible.
