STROUD pugilist Max Mudway is ready for 'business' as he prepares for his third professional fight next month, writes Johnny Grant.

Trained by Gloucester's Fight factory chief Jon Pitman, the 23-year-old is aiming for the top. With a training camp already set up, Mudway is set to fly to a training camp in Marbella ahead of his scheduled showdown at Swindon Oasis on September 28.

'Maximus' aims to improve on his unbeaten record and make a real statement in the super welterweight. Having already been victorious in all of his previous four rounders his confidence is building towards that first knockout every fighter wants.

"It will come," said the former Maidenhill pupil. "It's learning fights at the moment but I'm coming with full-force, I'm ready.I don't see myself losing and I like to see myself as a warrior, that's how I want to be known."
