FAIRFORD boss Jody Bevan expects something to give when his unbeaten side clash with fellow unblemished outfit Hanwell Town in the FA Cup preliminary round.

Bevan's side are on the proverbial crest of a wave after five-straight wins. His side made it five from five with an impressive 1-0 victory at Brimscombe and Thrupp in mid-week thanks to Ben Lodge's strike.

"I was delighted to get the result," said Bevan.

"It was a massive test and I thought we stood up to the challenge. Everybody put in a shift and I felt we defended superbly.

"If we would have been a little more careful with our final pass then we could have scored a couple more goals, but I know Sam Prior will feel exactly the same with his team.

"All-in-all I felt it was a great advert for the Hellenic League, played by two very good sides.

"It was great to see Ben Lodge get another crucial goal for us. We have a huge amount of faith in him and we challenged him to produce more goals and assists this season and so far he has taken that on board and stepped up a level."

Town welcome Hanwell to Cinder Lane tomorrow and Bevan is expecting another tough day at the office.

He added: "Both of us have 100% records so something will have to give."
