Jack Aitchison paid an emotional tribute to his late father as he scored a dramatic winner for Forest Green.
The Celtic loanee stepped off the bench in the second-half and took just 10 minutes to get off the mark for Mark Cooper’s side, having joined the club on loan from the Hoops on the final day of the transfer window last week.
The 19-year-old Scotland U-19 international is Celtic's youngest-ever player, scoring on what was his senior debut in 2016 aged 16 years and 71 days in a 7-0 win over Motherwell and it was another stunning impact as he showed great composure to burst into the box and plant home a sumptuous 79th minute winner to hand Rovers a 1-0 victory to catapult Rovers up to fifth.
Aitchison paid homage to his father George, who passed away last year.
Aitchison said: “My family support me well and that’s for him today.”
