DESPITE four clean sheets in five league starts, Forest Green goalkeeper Lewis Thomas is keeping his feet firmly on the ground.
Afforded the opportunity to don the gloves following Joe Wollacott's red card against Newport County last month, the 22-year-old Welshman has grasped the chance with a series of eye-catching displays, including a penalty save in the 1-0 win at Cambridge.
SNJ sports editor Ash Loveridge and FGR media assistant Noah Dougherty spoke to Thomas ahead of Rovers' match against Stevenage on Saturday, where the Rovers' keeper discussed his breakthrough into the team, dealing with a change of coach and his friendship with Manchester United star Daniel James.
