WOODCHESTER'S Jordan Weaving grabbed a spot on the podium as the former British champion finished third at Donington Park.
On board a JDR/Burkert 1000cc Stock Suzuki, the 22-year-old has been plagued with injury and technical problems this season, but all that was water under the bridge.
After qualifying in sixth position on the grid, he made a good start in conditions where there was a limited dry line due to the earlier rainfall which meant being accurately placed on the dry line was critical.
After putting in consecutively fast laps he moved up and closed in on the two leaders Chrissy Rouse and championship winner Richard Cooper, also on a Suzuki.
Rouse managed to get a gap that he held to the flag leaving Cooper and Weaving to fight it out for second, that fight went right to the line with Cooper just managing to fend off Weaving.
