STONEHOUSE TOWN boss Phil Orsborn insisted his side played out of their skins when losing narrowly at high-flying Toolstation Premier Division Bitton.

The Magpies were beaten 2-1 in the GFA Trophy, but Orsborn lauded his side ahead of their Hellenic League Division One West encounter at Cheltenham Saracens on Saturday.

“We played absolutely out of our skins on Tuesday night,” said Orsborn “We were very unlucky to come away with a defeat and I was without four first-team players, so the performance was even more impressive, unfortunately we picked up a number of injuries, so we go to a tough away fixture at Cheltenham Saracens with a large number of first-team players injured or unavailable, which means at least six reserves need to step up. I'm hoping everyone pulls together and we put up a good performance.”

The Oldends Lane outfit are currently fourth in the table, six points off top spot with six wins and four defeats.
