PLAYING the numbers game, Forest Green head coach Mark Cooper is taking a mathematical approach to his side’s automatic-promotion chances.
Rovers travel to struggling Stevenage on Boxing Day fresh from a confidence-boosting 2-2 draw against league leaders Swindon Town after a brace from Joseph Mills pegged-back a 2-0 half-time deficit.
Cooper proudly proclaimed: “We have the most clean sheets in the country, top- two for away points earned in the country - the only stat we are not near the top of is goals scored so that’s why we have to improve, everywhere else our metrics are top draw and if we can improve that stat there’s only one way we can go.”
Mark Cooper spoke to Forest Green media manager Matt Edwards ahead of Rovers' Boxing Day clash at Stevenage. Watch Cooper's full interview below.
