BRIMSCOMBE'S Jamie Bremner was the star of the show on Saturday when he netted a brace in a 3-1 victory against Royal Wootton Bassett Town, writes Scott Boulton.
As a thin fog descended on the Meadow, Bremner netted his first with Ollie Pitt whipping in a low ball to the back post for the former Gloucester City man to tap home. It was Bremner again who doubled his tally with Pitt again assisting.
It was a lighting start to the second half and Jonty Welch soon found the ball at his feet and poked it past the Bassett ‘keeper giving the Lilywhites a three-goal lead. The visitors soon responded with captain Giorgio Wrona heading into the top corner. Ash Gale was then called into a superb diving save late on.
