FOREST GREEN were denied a comeback win on the opening day of the season in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Aldershot.
New Aldershot forward James Henry denied Forest Green a comeback win with a late leveller in the 3-3 draw in their Vanarama National League opener at the EBB Stadium.
The home side raced into a two-goal lead inside just 13 minutes after Hady Ghandour landed a quickfire double.
However, Ryan Inniss provided Forest Green with hope when he struck midway through the opening period.
Kyle McAllister then hauled the visitors level three minutes into the second half, with Christian Doidge putting Forest Green ahead shortly before the hour mark.
Aldershot pushed for an equaliser and veteran forward Henry, who joined the club earlier this month, delivered for the home side when he scored with 10 minutes remaining.
