GLOUCESTER Services has opened a unique photography exhibition on the M5 to celebrate the beauty of Gloucestershire’s countryside, people and wildlife.
The exhibition has been curated by the Gloucestershire Gateway Trust and features a collection of inspired images by various photographers, of beech woodland, barn owls, Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust volunteers and even BBC Countryfile presenter Ellie Harrison, the Trust’s President.
The gallery space is installed in Gloucester Services Northbound in one the busiest positions in the Services, and opened in early February.
Rebecca McGilvray, Gloucester Services Brand and Communications Manager said; “It’s great to be working on projects with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust in ways beyond simple fundraising and recruitment.
"The photography in the exhibition is stunning and we’re looking forward to developing a regular programme of exhibitions in collaboration with our local community for the year ahead.”
“Our business was created as a unique partnership with local regeneration charity, Gloucestershire Gateway Trust and our partnership with them is not just about charitable donations; it is a more fundamental way of connecting business and community for the benefit of both.”
Mark Gale, Gloucestershire Gateway Trust’s CEO, explains; “It’s another great way to be able to shout about the beauty of our county to travellers; many of which may drive through the county and stop at the Services without much thought of where they are.
"We hope it might make them consider visiting the county again as a tourist and enjoy the wonderful countryside that Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust works to protect.”
The exhibition will remain at Gloucester Services for several months.
