TALENTED youngsters – whose careers took off after performing in a Stroud talent show – return to celebrate the anniversary of the charity that supported them as teenagers.

Between 2002-2014, The Door ran the Undiscovered Youth Talent Competition, giving fledgling entertainers the opportunity to share their skills.

Now five of the finalists will reunite to perform together at the charity’s 25th anniversary event, at the Sub Rooms, on Saturday from 7pm.

“We want to see what happened next for our young people,” said The Door’s chief executive Barrie Voyce.

The evening will be hosted by ventriloquist Kieran Powell who won the competition in 2011.

He will be joined by singers Ellie Higgs, Harry Jones, Megan Strachan and Andy Bro’ Yerbury.

The gig is sponsored by the Keith Jefferies Foundation, which supports disengaged young people through music. Tickets from the Sub Rooms, proceeds to The Door.
