POLICE investigating a frenzied attack on a delivery vehicle are appealing to the public for information.

The incident happened at around 9pm on Sunday (August 4) when a 25-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both from Cheltenham, were making a food delivery in the area.

Whilst parked in a white Peugeot 306 on St Peter’s Square they were approached by a man who carried out an aggressive attack on the vehicle and on the driver and passenger inside.

It’s believed the offender was using a crowbar.

The male victim suffered injuries to his wrist in the incident that required treatment at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

The offender was described as white, around 5ft 9” tall, aged between 22 and 26-years-old and of slim build. He was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt.

Witnesses to the assault should call Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting incident number 524 of August 4.
