A MAN and a woman have been found guilty of causing unnecessary suffering to a Staffordshire bull terrier.
Zoe Maxwell, aged 40, of Bath Road, in Nailsworth, and Michael Mayo, aged 24, of Stroud Road, in Gloucester, are charged with failing to address the cause of a dog's underweight condition.
The Staffie weighed almost half of what it should have when it was discovered as a stray by Stroud District Council.
Maxwell and Mayo were due to be sentenced at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Monday, January 6, but the case was adjourned until January 29.
