A COW was rescued from the River Severn yesterday, Monday.
Fire crews were called to the River Severn near Gloucester at 10.05am following reports that the animal was in distress.
Two pumping appliances and a boat were mobilised with a total crew of 12 firefighters.
The cow was found, rescued and lead to safety using an animal harness and suffered no injuries.
The crews were at the scene for nearly 3 hours.
