A CHURCH is hoping the whole community join their 175th anniversary celebrations.
The ‘fun weekend’ will mark the laying of the first stone of Holy Trinity Church, of The Roundabouts, Brimscombe from June 6-8.
Secretary Pauline Hill, 75, said: “We want everyone to come and celebrate with us.”
“It’s very exciting to be able celebrate our churches history, we’re appealing for as many to come along as possible.”
Interestingly the celebrations will kick off on Friday 6 with a games night at the Ship Inn, the pub where plans for the church were drawn out.
Events will follow into the weekend with a BBQ and live music on Saturday 7 at Brimscombe Primary School, while a special service will be held at the church on Sunday 8, with a bring and share lunch afterwards.
