CELEBRATIONS are in order for a Gloucestershire charity who have been awarded an £85,000 grant to continue their good work.
Winston’s Wish, who are based in Cheltenham, are a charity for bereaved children and were pledged the money by St. James’s Place Foundation.
The money will cover three years worth of charity costs and will help the charity in their work, which includes bringing children together for support groups, running outdoor challenges and manning the Winston Wish national helpline.
Each year the charity help 30,000 bereaved children, and Fiona Talwar-Lomberg, CEO of Winston’s Wish said: “We are extremely grateful to the St James’s Place for the generous support. The death of a parent, brother or sister is one of the most fundamental loses that any child will ever face during their lifetime.”
St. James Place Foundation is a grant making charity based in Cirencestor which has raised over £34 million for good causes in its 22 year history.
