MOBILE phone giant Vodafone opens a new store in Stroud High Street today.
Managers say the store – on the site of the former Curry’s store – will create five jobs.
It is part of the company’s £100 million nationwide expansion which will see 150 new shops open and 1,400 jobs created in the next year.
Charlotte Palmer, manager of the new Stroud store, said: “We are delighted to be coming to Stroud and have some great offers for our customers.”
Since Curry’s closed, the empty store has been used on occasions to host art events.
