IT'S Wednesday which means it's market day in the Cornhill, Stroud.
Local producers and farmers have turned out with a wide selection of seasonal vegetables and fruits, with lettuces, salad bags, tomatoes, peas, beans and new potatoes.
Market organiser Gerb Gerbrands has said he hopes it will offer the chance to shop in Stroud on a day free from weekend crowds and with more parking available.
He said: “There are two local cheese producers, free range chicken and duck eggs, the legendary Madgett’s free range poultry, soft goat’s cheeses, juice, cider and wine, baked goods and cakes, plus olive oil, pasties, meaty snacks and hot dogs.
“There is also a market café serving cakes and drinks so why not pop along and get some ingredients for Wednesday’s dinner or grab some stuff for a lunchtime picnic?
“We would love to hear from customers with any ideas about what kind of stalls they would like to see at the market.
“They can let us know and we will do our best to find what they are looking for.”
The market will run every Wednesday from 9am to 2.30pm.
