GENEROUS people have rallied together to help the family of a woman who died in Tenerife.
Last week the family of Jackie Porter appealed for cash to help pay off morgue fees, her cremation and hospital fees.
Since then more than £200 has come into the SNJ's office, with well-wishers bringing cards and gifts for the family of the much-loved Stroud woman who died on Monday, August 10.
A collection held by friend Deborah Rodway raised a further £742.
Jackie's niece, Hannah, and sister, Teresa, flew out to Tenerife last week and brought the ashes back to Stroud on Sunday.
Donations can still be made at the SNJ's office, 6 Lansdown, Stroud.
Cheques should be made payable to Teresa Woods.
All money donated will go to reimbursing Jackie Porter's family who have had to borrow.
