A BOMB disposal team were called to quiet cul-de-sac in Rodborough this morning, following concerns about a suspected grenade.
The Royal Logistic Corps' Bomb Disposal team were called to an address on Spillmans Road at about 8am to assess the device.
Police were informed last night about the device which had been found at the property in Church Place.
A police spokeswoman said the suspected grenade is thought to have been there for some time and was believed brought back from the war.
“If the device requires to be detonated, it will be taken securely to open land,” she added.
“There is no concern for the wider public.”
Police left the scene at around 8.30am.
