THIEVES broke into a house in King's Stanley, ransacked it, and stole handbags, credit cards, jewellery and a safe.

Valuable jewellery taken included, including gold rings and necklaces.

The burglary took place between 5.10pm and 6.50pm on Tuesday, November 24.

Police believe that at least three men would have been needed to carry the large, heavy safe out of the house and into a waiting vehicle.

Due to the weight of the safe either a van or a twin wheel base vehicle would have been needed to move it.

The owners of the property are very upset by what has happened and police are appealing for information and witnesses.

If anyone saw an unfamiliar vehicle or men in the area to please call 101 quoting incident number 365 of 24 November 2015.
