Keith Clarke has never won anything - so when he got the call telling him that he had scooped £2,000 with Longfield Crackerjackpot Lottery he didn’t believe it.
“I thought someone was winding me up. I’ve never won anything before so I couldn’t believe it,” said Mr Clarke from Horsley.
He has been playing the weekly Crackerjackpot Lottery with Longfield since April.
He and his wife Dawn plan to use the £2,000 jackpot win towards the refurbishment of their kitchen.
“I like supporting this lottery because unlike the other charities I support, Longfield is local,” said Mr Clarke.
“It’s been great to have a tour of the hospice in Minchinhampton and to see where the money goes. It’s been magic.”
Lottery tickets cost £1 each and are available online at crackerjackpot.co.uk/longfield/ or through Longfield’s 15 charity shops.
The money raised from the lottery helps Longfield provide free care and support for people in Gloucestershire with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
