IT WAS just like old times for former pupils at Stroud Girls' High School at a 50 year reunion.
More than 30 former pupils from the class of 1966 gathered from across the country, including Yorkshire, Devon, Kent and London to celebrate the anniversary of their first day at school.
They met in the old assembly hall of the junior school, now part of the drama and art department, to share memories and enjoy a buffet on September 24.
Heather Limbach (nee Brown) said: "The evening passed all to quickly in a whirl of excited chatter.
"Old friends re-connected with each other and attempted to catch up on a lifetimes worth of events.
"The mood was nostalgic, optimistic and occasionally sad as a few dear friends were discovered to be no longer with us."
