AN elderly man was robbed in Gloucester after withdrawing money from a cashpoint.

The victim, a 74-year-old man, withdrew £120 from the Co-op cash point in Finlay Road.

He then crossed the street heading for Selwyn Road.

As he walked past the side of Trinity Church, he was pushed from behind, knocking him off balance.

The offender then snatched the money from his hand and ran off along Selwyn Road up the hill.

This happened between 6.30am and 7am yesterday (Monday, January 23) and left the victim very shaken.

The offender is believed to be a man, around 5 foot 10, wearing black clothing, black shoes and a black woolly hat pulled down around his face.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting incident 194 of January 23.
