THE Haunted Circus and Backstage is the latest double bill from Dramarama Youth Theatre on Lansdown Hall in Stroud on April 1 and 2.
The plays take a closer look at what goes on behind the scenes, away from the glittering lights and the polished performances.
The Haunted Circus was devised by a small group of eight to 10-year-olds and is a simple tale of a rather chaotic circus being harangued by the invisible, but ever-present force of a naughty ghost.
Backstage, which the older children will be performing, is about an equally colourful collection of characters, all with their different experiences of working on a show.
It is an insight into the realities of working closely with a group of artists for a long time and all the frustrations and interesting dynamics that brings up.
See this theatrical double-bill, suitable for all the family, on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 at Lansdown Hall in Stroud.
Both performances will start at 3pm. Tickets cost £8/£4 and are available from Star Anise, or on the door.
