MICROPUB the Little George will host an election hustings tomorrow with four of the Stroud candidates.
This will probably be the smallest venue for any of the hustings in this election campaign, and they are planning to live stream it on Facebook.
Four of the five candidates will be there, the organisers have said that they “did not receive a response from the UKIP representative.”
Neil Carmichael, David Drew, Max Wilkinson and Sarah Lunnon will answer questions in a series of three to five 20-35 minute question slots, with small intermissions in order to serve customers.
The hour before the hustings will be used to receive questions from the general public to anonymously pose to the candidates.
John Morgan, manager of the Little George, said: “We would have liked to have questions directly from the general public, however due to the time constraints involved, it was decided that anonymous question submission was the best mode of action.”
The Little George on George Street opened last year and is the first micropub in Stroud.
It’s a very small, two room public house which offers pub-goers a quieter and more back-to-basics experience, serving up real ales, gins, craft beers and fine wines.
The hustings will take place tomorrow (May 18) 5pm to 8pm, at the unique micropub on George Street, Stroud, and the live video stream will be on their Facebook page.
