A STROUD man will be arrested when he returns from a '2 to 3 month trip' to Ibiza.
A warrant was issued at Gloucester Crown Court today for the arrest of Thomas O'Shaughnessy, 25, of Moor Hill Place, Cashes Green, because he is in breach of a suspended sentence order he received last year for dangerous driving.
O'Shaughnessy received the six months jail term suspended for 18 months at the crown court in February 2016.
He was also ordered to spend 15 days on a rehabilitation activity requirement and 30 days on a probation programme.
Today he did not attend court for a breach hearing and Judge Michael Cullum commented: "He attended an appointment and said he had booked to go to Ibiza for the summer from May for 2 to 3 months.
"So he may be in Ibiza now.
"He certainly has not complied with the order imposed by this court.
"He is just not taking it seriously by the look of things."
The judge was told that a summons requiring O'Shaughnessy to attend court today was sent to him on July 10 and he had not responded.
"I shall issue an arrest warrant not backed for bail," said the judge.
"We'll have a shot at it when he comes back into the country."
