AUSTIN car enthusiasts raised around £200 during a charity event earlier this month.
The members of the group known as Stroud and Nailsworth Austins (SNAIL) raised the funds for ShelterBox, who provide emergency shelter and survival supplies for people affected by disasters across the globe.
Consisting of 18 pre-war classic cars, mostly made up of Austins, they drove in loose convoy some 33 miles, from The Daneway Inn near Cirencester to gather for lunch at the Ship Inn at Framilode.
The group stopped for coffee at the George Inn in Frocester and took part in an amusing in-car observational quiz, set by SNAIL founder Kevin Bown.
SNAIL was first formed in Spring 2016 and the group would like to extend a warm welcome to any pre-war classic car owner in the Stroud and surrounding area.
There is no membership fee, rules or regulations.
