A LEADING think tank has urged the government to learn from the rental property market in Germany.
The Institute for Public Policy Research says the UK, where increasing numbers of people are choosing to rent, can learn a lot from Germany’s lettings sector.
It highlights the fact that in Germany tenants enjoy greater security and controls on cost.
In contrast in the UK renters face limited rights, shorter tenancies and rising costs.
